The master’s level of education is the second level of higher education.

Duration of study is 1 year and 4 months in the case of training in the educational-professional program or 1 year and 9 months in the case of training in the educational-scientific program.

Speciality
176 Micro- and Nanosystem Engineering

Educational program
Micro- and Nanoelectronics

The training provides the most fundamental training in physical and mathematical disciplines, compared to other specialties in electronics. Our graduates are able to conduct theoretical and experimental research in micro- and nanoelectronics, design and construct electronic devices and devices of different levels of complexity (from elementary components to ultra-complex systems, including microprocessors and microcontrollers, crystal systems, MEMS / NEMS components), create modern microelectronic information systems, including artificial intelligence, neural networks, wireless sensor networks, e-health system, etc. Students also receive a universal education in computer technology, object-oriented and system programming.
The fundamental training and broad outlook that students receive during their studies allow graduates to easily adapt in the modern world, to realize their potential in production, research and educational institutions, in business both in Ukraine and around the world.

Regulations on admission to the master’s degree

To enter the master’s program, you must pass a unified entrance examination (UEE) in a foreign language in the form of an external examination, and for this to register for the UEE from May 11 to June 3 (until 18:00) and June 30 to pass English, German, Spanish or French. This year, the unified entrance examination in a foreign language must pass all entrants to the master’s program Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute without exception.

The unified entrance examination in a foreign language or simply an external independent assessment in a foreign language for admission to a master’s degree will be conducted according to the same program as for admission to the first year on the basis of general secondary education, except for parts “Written speech” and “Language comprehension by ear”. Applicants to the master’s program will consist only of the parts “Reading” and “Use of language”. This year we can count the results of UEE 2020 and 2021.

THIS YEAR, THE APPLICATIONS FOR ADMISSION TO THE MASTER’S DEGREE ARE SUBMITTED EXCLUSIVELY IN ELECTRONIC FORM.

Up to 5 applications can be submitted by state order, the number of applications at the expense of individuals and / or legal entities – a maximum of 30.

THE ENTRANCE IS CONSIDERED REGISTERED AFTER RECEIPT OF THE EXAMINATION SHEET.

For each entrant who has received an examination sheet, an information page “Entrant’s Cabinet” is created on the website of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment, which is accessed by the number of the examination sheet and PIN code indicated in it.

 Acceptance of applications and documents, entrance examinations, competitive selection and enrollment is carried out in the following terms:

Registration of electronic cabinets

from July 1, 2021

Acceptance of applications

July 15 - 23, 2021

Entrance examinations in the chosen specialty

July 24-30, 2021

Competitive score (CS) for admission to obtain a master’s degree is calculated by the formula:

CS = 0.25×P1 + 0.75×P2 + RAE,

where P1 is the grade of the unified entrance exam in a foreign language, P2 is the grade of the professional entrance test (on a scale from 100 to 200 points), RAE is the numerical equivalent of the grade of the academic rating of the entrant.

The academic rating of the entrant’s RAE is calculated by the attestation commission on the basis of the appendix of the relevant diploma and the submitted documents on the entrant’s creative achievements according to the formula:

RAE = 2RA + 2RT,

where RA is an academic component, RT is a component of creative achievements.

The academic component (RA) of the academic rating of the entrant is defined as the arithmetic mean of the results for all indicators given in the appendix to the diploma (results of studying subjects, defense of term papers / diploma theses, exams, etc.).

WARNING!!! Due to restrictive quarantine measures, the additional professional test has been canceled.

Comprehensive professional test is valid.

The results of the comprehensive professional test will be announced at 14:00 the day after the test. After the announcement of the results by 16:00 on the same day, entrants have the right to appeal. Appeals are considered to determine the objectivity of the assessment, not to retake the test.
